The Greg D. Martin Tip-off Tournament began the Iroquois varsity basketball season with the Chiefs being the tournament’s runner-up after dropping the title game to Sweet Home, 68-46, on Dec. 2.

Both of Iroquois’ opponents in the tournament compete at a higher level which put the Chiefs as an underdog in each game, but Iroquois showed it could still compete with top competition after an impressive come-from-behind rally over Kenmore East in the semifinal round with a 50-40 win on Nov. 30.
