The Iroquois varsity basketball Lady Chiefs will open their regular season by hosting Middle Early College (formerly Bennett High School), St. Mary’s of Lancaster and JFK in the annual Matthew Foster Tournament in the main gym on Nov. 29 and Dec. 1.

All proceeds will benefit the Matthew Foster Foundation, named for Iroquois senior Matt Foster, who died of cancer in 1999 at age 17. The foundation (matthewfosterfoundation.com), through events like basketball and golf tournaments, has raised over one million dollars since its founding 18 years ago to support cancer patients and their families.
