As the 2017 to 2018 varsity basketball season heats up in the arctic cold of February, the Lady Chiefs of Iroquois find themselves in the thick of the battle for the ECIC Division III title. Coming into the week they were 6-1 in division, 13-1 overall,  and ranked No. 6 in the Buffalo News Coaches Poll with big games against Cheektowaga and East Aurora as this edition of the Elma Review goes to press. The big showdown comes on Saturday, Feb. 10, when they travel to East Aurora for a 1 p.m. contest with the Blue Devils, who lead the division at 7-0.
