Passersby might have been alarmed to see the flashing lights of emergency responders at Knox Farm State Park Friday night, but not to worry—it was all in the name of show business. Explorer Entertainment, an Italian production company, and Ship to Shore Media, an American production company, teamed up to film a scene at Knox for their upcoming movie, “The Alcoholist.”

According to Ship to Shore producer Justin Martell, the film is a revenge thriller, and the cast includes several notable Italian actors as well as American actors Bill Moseley, John Robinson and others. A climactic scene in which a man is taken into custody by police was filmed Friday night at the red house near the park entrance. Local emergency and news crews were involved in the scene, as well.
