While the hole from the collapsed culvert has been repaired at Main and South Willow streets, the East Aurora Village Board is on to the next task of determining what the rest of the project will entail and how the costs will be covered.

The culvert directing Tannery Brook under Main Street by Pasquale’s restaurant, past Mikey Dee’s Cafe and the parking lots beyond, is at the end of its 30 year lifespan and something needs to be done to prevent any safety hazards or future collapses. The board is looking at the warmer months of 2018 to complete a project that would maintain the area for decades.
