The East Aurora School District recently announced that prior to the regularly scheduled board meeting on Dec. 6, two public hearings will take place. The first public hearing will begin at 7 p.m. and it is in regard to taking money from the Repair Reserve Fund to pay for upgrading the air conditioning at Parkdale Elementary School. The air conditioning unit recently received repairs that cost almost $26,000 and the problem was diagnosed over the summer. The repairs took place later in the fall.

During the board meeting in August, district officials discussed scheduling a public hearing before the work was completed. The newspaper also reported that a public hearing would take place about the repairs at the September board meeting, but district officials decided after it was reported to delay the public hearing.
