Self-directed is one word that describes Laura Colligan, entrepreneurial is another. She raises heritage turkeys and chickens on Call Again Farm in Elma with the help of her parents, Bob and Dianna. The hobby farm also produces eggs and raw honey, which are available at the East Aurora Cooperative Mini Market (618 Main St.) on Thursdays and Saturdays.

Laura also hatches chicks for starter flocks and tends an organic vegetable garden, which she does not till because tilling causes erosion and destroys vital microorganisms.
